Is Magic in the Weaving by Tamora Pierce suitable for a 7 year old?

I haven't read that sorry, but as for suggestions, I read Pangur Ban the White Cat by Fay Sampsom when I was that age and loved it. It's appropriate for her age, although is probably aimed at slightly older audiences.
