BA Hons English Essay?

I would try to compare 2 texts, one older text and one from the 1980s (miners strike time). Sorry I can't offer any text ideas. The 1980s text might have some political comment, I'm thinking along the lines of the drama script for 'Billy Elliot', I'm sure there must have been some poetry or short stories written that would qualify. Do lots of reading around your chosen texts, I'm sure you will be able to come up with some good ideas from what others have said.
