The purpose of semen and trying to concieve?

ok so im 23 yrs old have a 2 yr and my husband and i are wanting baby num 2. My question is after and semen comes out of your is sperm in that? or is the sperm in your and the semen is just the fluid coming out after getting the sperm to their destination? its something my friends and I have debated and I tried researching, so I wanted to know. Lately Ive had and have gotten up maybe 5 min or so after and had it dripping out etc and saw some on the bed so i just wanna see if that reduces my chances etc. I know it sounds stupid but we all have our different opinions and in school they didnt really talk about it. it was pretty much you have you get pregnant. I am a cna work in a hospital etc so its not like im a teenager hoping to not get pregnant. Im quite the opposite so please no mean comments
