Problem with my electrical outlets pls help.?

Hi there, I turn on the bathroom light and something blew, not literaty, cause now I have no electricity in my bath, part of the kitchen and another room, I know they run in the same circuit, I don't have a gfi(i think that's what is called) in the bathroom nor the kitchen, it's a very old house. The braker on the box didnt trip, no orage mark, I reset all just in case and still no luck on brakers, I checked the brakers with a voltage tester and they all seem good also. What could the problem be????? In advance thank you.
